Blue nodded, ten yawned by curling his upper lip back over his wolflike teeth. "The sound of warming up sounds great to me" Blue chuckled shivering slightly as an even colder breeze ruffled his pelt making him even more cold. "I'd like to see you try and drag me..." Bkue murmured smiling at Stern in a cheeky way. His tail was swishing from side to side again, which was good as he had jus gotten the feeling back in it.
Hobbling back to the sledge was hard for Blue, but eventually with Sterns help he managed and he was soon back with the other sled dogs in his team. Huffing slightly Blue dug a small mound of snow then layed down, burying himself in it. He could feel the warmth seeping back into his body and smiled slightly. Not like anyone could see him smilin though. After all he was covered in snow. Blue let his eyelids close, and sleep overtake him.

Stern dipped her head and smiled, "Maybe that would be best for you. We would need you to not freeze to death, if you are going to be the hero that risked his own life to save the team." She grinned again, tongue lolling out of the side of her mouth. "And I would drag you. You had better believe it. If I couldn't do it, I would get the rest of the team to help me."
When Blue finally made it to the sled and was hidden beneath the snow, Stern returned to the sled and started nosing around in the baggage, looking for any more surprises. She found some human food, but decided to leave it be, just in case the team needed it later. Other than that, there was nothing interesting of note. Only a bunch of bags, but Stern didn't look into them for now.

Blue blinked slightly as he woke upmfrom a quick nap. Curling his big black tail over his nose Blue yawned slightly as he felt the warmth creep over him. Smiling to himself and letting his eyelids recluse as he turned around underneath his mound of snow. Blue smiled to himself in his sleep, he was having a great dream...
Blue was running, running once again in the wild. With dogs both sides of him as they ran, chasing some sort of elk like creature. Blue's Tongue was lolling from his mouth as he ran and the wind whipping through his fur, and into his eyes. Blue looked down at his leg. It had healed over, and there was a thick scar running down from where it used to be. Blue twisted hi head, to a dog that was now running at his side. The dog seemed friendly, more friendly than any of the other dogs and as they ran side by side in the wilderness their pelts brushed together and their tails entwined. Blue smiled, and then realised who the dog was. It was Stern.

Stern sat down after she finished her examination of the sled and looked all around their surroundings. There was nothing here but a large expanse of snow, or so it seemed. Stern had run this course often enough to know that there was a small brook a few minutes travels to the south. Although the river seemed to always be frozen, there were a few tricks to break through the ice. The most effective that Stern had found was to rear up onto her hind legs and then smash her front legs stiffly on the ice. That usually worked within a few repetitions.
I wish there was something I could do for Blue, she thought, and the rest of the team as well. Water and food would be the most trouble, and water was taken care of for now. Food as well, for the moment, there were still a few rations on the sled. Shelter wouldn't be too hard, the dogs were used to curling up in the snow.

Blue opened his eyes once again, having actually slept all that he needed to, and warmed up. Blue yawned slightly and began to get himself out of the mind of snow he was left in, standing up handshaking his pelt he gave one of his lopsided grins to Stern, and then began searching for Chuck. He was nowhere in sight of Blue...had he been running after him? No...When Blue placed the bomb he never s aw the pup.
Ignoring his hunger that was making his stomach rumble, Blue padded up to Stern, well limped. Wagging his tail in her face slightly Blue stumbled up onto the sledge, his hurt paw in the air, which made things considerably hard. Digging his nose in the bag Blue picked out a few things carefully. There was an apple, a banana, a tin of dog food and a bite of water. Well, at least in this bag.

Stern stayed in her position as Blue woke up again and blinked the snow off of her lashes. She saw his grin at her and then his searching gaze around the area where the group was gathered. She thought she knew what he was looking for and looked around to see where Chuck was hiding. She couldn't see him in the snow, but that didn't mean anything, maybe he was curled up under the white expanse.
Blue started moving towards her, and Stern stood p, her tail wagging gently as it curled above her back. As he stumbled over the sled, Stern hid a small grin. She didn't say anything, though, and watched as Blue dug through one of the bags that had been on the sled. That is when she spoke, her voice quiet in the beginning from not being used, "Hungry, Blue?" She smiled, everyone would be hungry. They would have to be careful with their food, at least until they had a chance to hunt.

Blue pricked his ears up and twisted his head a Sterns voice filled the crisp snowy air. He smiled. "Yeah. Being blown up makes you hungry me thinks" He joked winking at the lead dog and licking his hurt paw slightly. It throbbed, yes. But yet wasn't as bad as it could have been. Smirking slightly Blue emptied the bag some more, finding a musher banana and a frozen yoghurt. Shrugging he moved onto the next bag. Nothing of interest in here. A mobile phone, a notebook, a few pens and a hat with a scarf. Maybe Mr. Brisyen wanted to record their journey, phone a friend and get toasty warm when it got chillier?
Chuckling to himself Blue dipped his head and fitted the hat onto him, along with the scarf around his neck. Smirking he turned to Stern. "Hey, look what I found! I'm a homosapien!" He joked crossing his eyes and sticking his Tongue out. Blinking Lue twisted his head around as he heard a noise. There was a rabbit near the other side of the sled. Blue poised to charge then realised his paw wouldn't have let him. Sighing sadly and frowning Blue sat down and rummaged through the next bag. This one was empety.

Stern nodded, "Well, none of the team has eaten since last morning, but you have more right to be hungry than most." She watched as he dug out another banana, "Do you want to eat something? Most of the stuff will go bad soon anyway." She had seen Mr. Brisyen opening bananas often enough to know that they could open it if they worked together. Instead, she watched as Blue put his head up again, this time with a hat on his ears and a scarf around his neck, "Yes, you look very sophisticated. Now maybe, since you are going to pretend to be human, you could take the phone and call someone." That would end all of their problems, if they could. But that wouldn't work, and so Stern gave up on the idea.
She noticed the rabbit seconds after Blue did. Nothing like a hurt leg hindered her, and she started stalking towards it, creeping silently on the snow. Some old instinct opened up, telling her how to accomplish the task she had never learned.

Flattening his ears back slightly as he watched Stern stalk the rabbit Blue sighed and turned away, beginning to fiddle with the phone. He pressed some random numbers with his claws, and the phone seemed to make a weird ringing noise then a humans voice came out of it. "Hello, this is 911 how may we help you? Woukd you like an ambulance, firestruck or police?" The voice said. Blue just frowned and whimpered into it. The people had soon hung up. Scrabbling the hat from kff his head and the scarf from around his neck Blue heard his stomach rumble but ignored it.
Not wanting to ruin Sterns first possible hunt Blue sighed. He didn't want to eat. If he did, there wouldn't be enough for any of the others woukd there? No. And that wouldn't be fair on them. Blue would just have to eat something on the way. Scrambling down from the sledge, Blue laid down on the grass and sighed, staring up into the sky.

Stern was really close to the rabbit when the phone started beeping and ringing. She didn't turn to look, but kept her attention on the hare. Her prey had heard the sound as well. It now looked and noticed Stern for the first time. It's initial response was to sprint away, but Stern's reaction time was a split second faster. She lunged just as the rabbit started to move, and it was suddenly in her jaws. With a swift shake of her head, she snapped the rabbit's neck and then finally turned to Blue. All of it happened in just a few seconds, and now there was a voiced coming from the phone. Stern let go of the rabbit and yipped, but the people hung up. She picked her prey up again and trotted to Blue, dropping the prey in front of him, "Do you want to share?"

Glancing at Stern Blue turned around. She had caught the rabbit. The same one tha would have been his first kill if he had a better leg. Sighing the male lifted his head with pride as Sern offered to share with hism. "I think I'll wait u til my legs better, then catch my own.." He murmured trying not to let any venom or spite into his voice. Turning around and limping a few paces away towards his sisters body he layed his head on her cold side and murmured something to quiet for any other animal to here. Fighting back some more tears Blue looked up, and out onto the plain and for a second there he swore he saw Red's outs line, standing proud with her snout to the sky and a glimmer in her eyes that strangely enough were not blind. Blue flicked his ears back, he must have been imagining things but no. Standing up as if he was in a trance Blue fled towards the outline as if it was beckoning him. All four paws padding on the ground. Wait, four? Strange. The fourth paw didn't hurt anymore.
Letting his Tongue lollipop from his mouth Blue sped towards the figure and skidded in the snow as he reached it, the figure that wasn't there. Whimpering slightly Blue cranes his head to see if it was really Red. It looked like her. Sweetest brother, you're time is not yet my love. Wake up Blue, go to your loved one. You may not know it but things are going to work out for you, you will fall in love dearest brother and have a great life. One that the gods never let me. Just promise me this Blue. Name you're first born female Red and things will work out just great for you. the figure instructed brushing against Blue and whispering in his ear. Startled the Siberian husky awake, in a mass of twitches and convulsions on the floor. Strange. Lifting up his head and letting his eyes assumed to the light Blue realised that he hadn't been running at all, and he was just having a fit, and that his paw still hurt but much less than it originally did.

Stern was taken aback by his reply. She heard the slightest hint of spite in his voice, and knew that she had been untactful. "Well, then, go ahead and starve until your leg is better then," she snarled. Without glancing back, she picked up her kill and trotted a little bit away, not wanting to show Blue the hurt in her eyes. About a hundred meters away, she set her food down and then lay down next to it, feeling dejected. She hadn't wanted to annoy Blue, she had wanted to share with him. She could feel resentment growing in her. If he doesn't want me to help him hunt, he can just fend for himself, she growled to herself.
Little as she wanted to admit it to herself, her heart hurt as well. She had thought Blue would be glad for the food, she had heard him say he was hungry. There was no reason for him to act like that, she decided.

Blue sighed and padded away, farther from Stern untilnhe was almost out if sight from her. When he finally stopped she was a black dot in the distance and Blues leg felt suddenly much much better. Licking his paw Blue pricked his ears up; for any sign of danger and frowned to himself. "Sorry Stern..." He murmured staring at the ground as he felt the pains of hunger gnaw at his stomach. He was to proud. Far to proud. His mother had once told him to never trust another dog around you and food. Which was slightly strange. Almost as strange as the so called snow underneath his paw. It seemed rough.
Looking down Blue smiled, it was dirt. This must have been where the bomb went of. Smiling slightly Blue began to pick titbits from the ash, and had soon found a dead hatre that didn't survive the blast. Must have either been fright or the bomb. Shrugging Blue gulped the rabbit down and licked his lips. He would go back later, no one would miss him for a bit.

Stern heard Blue getting up and watched him move away, until he was in the area that had been affected by the bomb. She kept her eyes on him most of the time, her stomach too tied up in knots to eat. Out loud, she said to herself, "I guess I'll save the rabbit for the rest of the team. I can't eat right now anyway, and they will be glad for the meal." Resolutely, she stood up and padded to where she knew the rest of the team to be sleeping. She dropped the rabbit neatly next to the pile of snow that covered Naleigh, hoping to smooth over the issues between them of the past days. Then she moved to a small hill that was higher than the rest of the surrounding area and lay down in the snow again, watching Blue and the piles of the rest of the team with half closed eyes.

Blue lifted up his head and snarled slightly at something behind him. He could sense something there, yet didn't bother to turn around as he was happily picking through the ashes and debris on the bomb site. Some of it was still warm, and he needed to lick it off his paw but that was at the edges. Nearer the middle I was burning hot, and Blue had to sort of dance to stop his paws from hurting yet it didn't work and Blue would often get small burns and cuts on his paws that would heal soon after he stepped in a patch of snow or licked them, which had a most horrible taste on them and would make his eyes water. Sighing slightly Blue layed down in a less warmer patch of the ashes and closed his eyes.
