Alusia sighed. So much for trying to keep him safe. He was just going to be a know-it-all anyway. "I'll try it, I guess." She didn't have much choice in the matter, she couldn't stay down here forever. She padded up to the wall of the trap she was in and pushed her injured shoulder against it. She almost howled out in pain, but bit her tongue and kept pushing. With a sudden pop, the bone jumped back into place, "That feels much better." She looked up at the roots that were dauntingly high above her head, "I'm supposed to reach those?" She took a deep breath and reached up, walking her paws up the edge until her claws caught onto the fibers, "Got it!"
Stern smiled at Blue, glad he didn't hold it against her, "It was just... A bad time."

"I know and I don't blame you for snapping at me." Blue barked, licking his tail with his Tongue and yawning slightly. Blue smiled to himself slightly and half closed his eyes.
"That's it!" Mouse barked leaning forwards and grabbing Alusia by the scruff, trying to pull her out. Managing to though falling backwards with Alusia landing ontop of him. "Hey, at least your safe..." Mouse murmured standing up and skimming some leaves from his fur.

Stern smiled slightly at him, "Thank you." She swept her tail across the snow a few times before settling down and enjoying the feel of his warm body next to her.
Alusia scrabbled at the wall as Mouse hauled her up by her scruff, doing her best to help him, but probably just getting in his way. At last, he had succeeded in pulling her out of that dank hole that she had gotten herself into. "Th... Thank you, Mouse." He had just saved her life. No matter how horrible he had been to Blue, she would not forget that fact. She got up and shook snow out of her fur before padding up to him and licking his muzzle in gratitude.

Dipping his head in an enthusiastic yet subtle way Blue curled up into a ball, comtemplating things for a moment. Looking over at where the sled was, and where his old masters body layed along with the body of his recently dead sister Blue frowned. So many had died already, and so many would die. Out here were polar bears and much more, even packs of wolves. The ice would be thinning as well. Maybe the waters would claim a victim before any real dangers appear. Who knew.
Blinking and sighing as Alusia licked Mouse's muzzle Mouse smiled slightly and blushed. "It was nothing really.." He mumbled kicking away some leaves and mud from his paws and letting his tail wag enthusiastically. Mouse had never really been the dog that would be lost for words, although he actually had no idea what to say for once.

Stern dozed off, still wondering at how much had happened in the last two days. She couldn't believe it. They had added one to their ranks, lost a master and a friend, and she and Blue were now... What were they? As she pondered the question, she sunk into unconsciousness.
Alusia shrugged, "It may seem like nothing to you, but I wouldn't fancy being stuck down there in that hole for more than I had to." She could tell that Mouse was at least a bit embarrassed, but she didn't feel bad. He had done more than she had expected him to do.

Yawning as Stern slowly fell asleep (?) Blue stood up and licked her ear before racing away in the direction of Mouse and Alusia. After a few minutes Blue felt the sudden change of snow to leaves underneath his paws and soon he had the dogs in his sight but the massive hole was in his way. Skidding to a halt and narrowly avoiding the fall Blue let out a sigh of relief and paced around it towards the two pups. "You should really come back now." Blue said, his tail wagging.
Mouse yawned and licked his paw, but as soon as he neard a voice that wasn't Alusia's he jumped and straightened up, only to realise it was Blue. He had obviously been worried about them and wanted to check them out. "I know we should, we've been um, sidetracked." Mouse said. It was t exactly a lie, ne had been sidetracked getting Alusia from the pit.
OOC: I think a Polar bear should attack

Alusia looked up as Blue padded towards the pair of them and dipped her head to him respectfully, "Yes, Blue. We just had a slight... problem." She looked at Mouse, wondering why he didn't want to tell Blue anything more than that, but deciding that she owed him her silence. Just then, she raised her muzzle into the air and stiffened up. "Do you smell that?" She looked over to her two companions. She didn't know exactly what the scent was, having never smelled it before, but her instincts told her it was something to worry about. "What is it?"
OOC;: Okay!

Stifling up Blue lifted his nose up to the air and inhaled. A musky scent was nearby that smelt feral. With his neck fur bristling, telling him to run Blue curled his upper lip up over his canines in a snarl like face and pricked his ears up. There was a large lumbering nearby, that sounded like footsteps, but what could it possibly be? Blue smiled slightly though as Alusia dipped her head, and couldn't help but winking at them. Mouse closed his eyes as the all so familiar scent drifted to his nostrils. Death, blood, fish. It was a polar bear. "It's a polar bear. If you value your life I suggest you run now, before it picks up our scent. Three of us stand no chance against it's large paws, claws and teeth" He barked, shaking slightly.

Alusia looked at Blue, surprised. In a moment like this, she hadn't expected him to wink at them. Tell them to run, maybe. But not wink. She looked at Mouse, who was visible shaking. If he was afraid, then it wasn't good. His words only confirmed her fears. She turned and jackrabbited away, running in zigzags towards where the overturned sled still lay, where the team was sleeping.
Stern woke out of her dream as a foul stench reached her nostrils. She raised her head and sniffed again. Polar bear! She had seen the large ursus once before, and it wasn't an experience she felt a need to repeat. She stood up quickly and looked around. There was Alusia, running towards her. The rest of the team was sleeping. Stern snapped at them, "Get up!"

Blue narrowed his eyes as the bear crashed through the undergrowth, it's beady eyes glaring at him. "Run!" Blue exclaimed nudging Mouse in the way Alusia ran. "I'm not leaving without you Blue..." Mouse murmured, his eyes wide. As the bear lowered itself on it's four legs and lunged towards Blue Mouse knocked him out of the way and managed to get the older dog from the firing line. "Run!" Blue barked again racing off in the opposite direction to what Alusia ran off it. Mouse, just stood there and warned him disappear. The bear lumbering after him. Shaking his head Mouse ran off to the sled team alone.
