Blue nodded. "I suppose it should be rested. I hate being immobile. It sickens me to be a burden." Blue mumbled pacing back to the blood stained patch of snow he had originally woken up in. Flopping down onto his side with an oomph Blue rolled over and curled up, covering his nose with his tail and closing his eyes shut tight Blue had a sort of cute and vulnerable appearance though he was actually far from it. With his ears pricked up Blue could hear Mouse stirring behind him, and he dreaded for the dog to wake up. Mouse hated him, and the feeling was mutual.

Stern shrugged, "You aren't a burden. The rest of the team is still sleeping as well, so you can rest if you wish to do so." She watched him pad back to his small nest of snow and then turned and padded in the other direction, towards the snow that was still unmarked by the team's tracks. Within minutes of setting out, she scented a rabbit ahead. She crouched down and let her instincts take over. As she lunged forward, the lapine startled, but it was too slow. She had in in her jaws, and with one mighty snap, it went limp. Two rabbits probably wouldn't feed the pack, so Stern continued on, doing her best to scent around the rabbit hanging from her jaws.

Opening his icy White eyes the smaller form of Mouse stood up and shook himself, sending snow everywhere. "Mornin' losers" He barked passing Blue and purposely stepping on the older and injured dog's tail while Stern wasn't looking. "Realising thait wasonlyhim, Stern and Blue awakeatthis time a grin spread across his muzzle as he flopped down in the snow. "What's it like being useless eh? I bet you love it. Doing no work. Sloowing us down. Ha! You're pathetic just laying there" Mouse snorted standing up and pretending to limp like Blue.

Stern was just returning with two rabbits in her jaws when she saw Mouse walk over to Blue. She dropped the lapines where she and Blue had been talking earlier and padded over, staying out of sight of the pup until the last minute. She sprang at the pup, planning on getting him to submit, as she had done a few times in the past, with other dogs, "It's not like you've been of any help thus far, either." That was all she said before her jaws were otherwise occupied, snapping and slashing at this imprudent pup. Her mind was filled with rage. This pup had done nothing but annoy the team, and now he would bow before her or perish.
{Yeah, not die, most likely, but that's what Stern is thinking right now.}

Yelping as the small dog got bowled over by Stern mouse wriggles from her grip with a few scathes and scratches on his fur Mouse growled. "Well at least I can do more than him! I can stand up properly" Mouse growled, his eyes wide and fierce as his hackles raised and his teeth beared fiercely. Blue stood up, with his leg in the air. "Leave him Stern..."He whimpered, his tail between his legs. Blue didn't want Mouse to get punished. He was just stating what everyone was most likely thinking.

Stern refused to back down. She would not, she had to keep her authority. She snapped at Blue, irritated at his interference, then stared at the pup, "At least that dog has caught a rabbit to help feed the team, whereas you have been snoozing all morning." Stern's entire posture showed dominance. Her ears stood straight up, her blue and brown eyes stared unwaveringly at the pup, and her tail was straight up, not waving like it had been earlier. She would not put up with anything now. She was annoyed, and it was easy to tell by her posture.

Deciding that Mouse would rather keep his fur he decided to lay down in the snow with his tail in-between his legs. "I would have caught plenty if you woke me up." He pointed out. Blue was slightly shaken by Stern snapping at him when he had done nothing obviously wrong. He hadn't expectedto get this from her! Tur ing arou d Blue silently padded away from the team and away from Stern. Curling up behind a rock, some twenty meters away.

Stern kept her dominance pose for a few seconds longer, then relaxed, "There is no point in me running around waking up every dog when they need rest. Anyway, I spent the time hunting, so it was of no matter." She kept her tail up, but took a step back and relaxed her gaze, physically gesturing that Mouse could get up again if he so wished. She had no need of keeping him down in that humiliating position, as long as he remembered his manners.
Alusia ran over the top of the hill separating her from the pack and stopped short. Blue was padding away from Stern, looking miffed, and Mouse was down in the snow, while Stern stood over him. She backtracked quickly and laid down in the snow, just her eyes and head visible over the crest, watching the pack below.

Mumbling to himself in an impulsive matter Mouse straightened up and blinked, his teeth were still beared and his eyes were still wild though and despite how hardheaded tried he couldn't stop being miffed with Stern. Nodding to Stern in a so so ay Mouse trotted off back towards the fores from he had originally dared from to hunt, spotting Alusia but ignoring her on the way. Blue however was shaking. He hated seeing mad dogs, whether he liked them or not and laying his head on his paws he let out a low whine and sighed. {Writers block}

Stern listened to the mumbling that was coming out of Mouse's jaws, but could discern no meaning, so she ignored it. She returned his nod when he offered it and watched him walk away. She wasn't sure if she had handled the situation correctly, but it was over for now, and until Mouse came back, nothing would happen. She patted over to her nest and settled down, tucking her bushy tail over her nose as she watched the team silently. This would be her life now, if she liked it or not.
Alusia spotted Mouse walking towards her and stood up again. As he padded by her without a word, she felt an annoyance. She decided to follow him for a bit, and so, once he had padded far enough away to be out of hearing range, she crept after him.

Sensing that the pup Alusia had followed him Mouse began to trot faster into the woods, soon getting under the cover of the large conifer and pine trees as he did so. Frowning to himself and still grumbling onwards Mouse pricked up his ears and scanned the forest for any predators. None, that was good.
Poking his snoat from around the rock to spot Stern with her tail over her nose Blue let out a sympathetic sigh and padded, well limped over to her. "Tough isn't it." Blue murmured sitting down next to her and licking Stern's ear.

Alusia slowed down as the wolf sped up, Alusia set to tracking his scent instead of visually. It would keep her out of his sight for a bit, at least. She wondered briefly where he was going, just for a second, before she tripped and fell. Instead of landing in the snow, though, she kept falling, falling, until she hit bare earth with a thump. Her shoulder, which had taken the brunt of the landing, smarted, but Alusia got up anyway and looked around. She was in a pit trap, walls of earth surrounding her. She was too far away from the team to cry for help, and Mouse probably wouldn't help her either. Alusia settled down, whimpering softly, and began to lick at her shoulder.
Stern looked up as Blue padded over to her, "Yes, it is." She stayed where she was though, as Blue licked her ear. She wasn't sure how he felt, she had snapped at him, after all. "I'm sorry, Blue,I didn't mean to snap at you like that."

Blue blinked and layed down next to Stern. "It's okay. You were mad." He murmured rolling over and cooling off his fur.
As a small thump sound was present Mouse pricked his ears up and spun around. He knew Alusia was following him, but what if she was hurt? What if Stern had a go argon again? And he was made the face the solitary life of a loner once more? Whimpering Mouse sped back to where he had came from and peered over the edge of a pit that wasn't there before. Alusia was down there. "Urm...you okay?' he asked.

Stern sighed, "Still..." She moved over a bit, mingling her fur with his, pressing her flank against him.
Alusia heard footsteps in the snow above her, and wondered for a second who would be coming towards her, before seeing Mouse's head poking over the edge, "Be careful, Mouse." She considered her aches, "I think most of it is just minor bruising, except my shoulder. I can't put any weight on it at all, and it's sticking out." However much pain she might be in, she didn't want him falling in here with her, "Don't come any closer. It won't help if both of use are down here."

Mouse rolled his eyes. "I know that. I lived here. Remember? It's the people. They hunt for meat. By the way your shoulder is dislocated, if you wack it againt the side it will pop back inlace and won't hurt much more. It would need rest though. Anyway, you see the roots near your head? If you grab them and I pass down a few logs then you should be able to climb out." He barked.
Laying as still as he could Blue pressed against Stern back, his tail resting on top of hers as he smiled at Stern. "Really it's fine. You were mad. And it was so of my fault." He murmured.
