I'm only 5 years from you. So leave a gal alone .
NAME . Elvira
PRONUNCIATION . el-veer-ah
TEAM OR FERAL Stray
BREED . Norwegian Lundehund
APPEARANCE . Elvira is almost your typical Lundehund. She has six toes on each foot, like her predecessors, but she does not have the intestinal problems of many of her breeds. She is mostly a tan brown in color, but her legs, stomach, and face have some white markings. She has black markings on her tail, back, withers, and face as well. Her eyes are a deep brown color. Her nose is black, or close to it, as are her paws. Her fur is about an inch to half an inch long, and very thick. She has very developed senses of smell and hearing, but she is mostly blind out of her left eye. However, she is able to make up for it using her ears. Out of her left eye, she can only see light, shadow, and the transition between the two.
PERSONALITY . Elvira would go out of her way to help anyone and everything in need. She has a very generous, giving heart. She doesn't mind pain to herself if she is able to alleviate someone else suffering. However, that does not mean that she will allow anyone to step all over her. If anyone tries to use her, they will find a very different Elvira. If she is angered, she will snap out. She never runs away from anything, and she finds it very hard to submit to anyone or anything. This is the reason she has never been a part of a pack or group, despite her loyalty to those she finds she can trust. After many times of being betrayed, though, Elvira does not trust other dogs. She never reveals much about herself, not unless she really feels like the dog she is talking to will not throw it back in her face. However, she has misjudged more than once, leading to her somewhat reserved air.
HISTORY . Elvira was actually once a puppy from a caring breeder in the Netherlands. She was one of the few Lundehunden to be bred that year that she was born. She was part of an effort to keep the puffin hunting breed alive. However, her characteristics were not what the breeder had hoped for. She was too nice, and yet, she didn't submit to others, which was sure to bring trouble. That is why the breeder sold her to a musher who was leaving for Alaska and was trying to bring together a team of various breeds. Once they all arrived in Alaska, however, there was a problem. Elvira refused to run as a swing dog, which had been her intended position, and she was not experienced enough to be a lead dog. Therefore, the musher was forced to let her run at the side of the sled, out of the way of the 'real' team. However, she felt no connection to any of them, least of all to the musher, and thus, one night, she slipped away into the forests near Battle Creek. She found a rock den withing the woods and that is where she has lived for the last few years.
OTHER . xx Nope
