Mr. Brisyen was, in the eyes of many of the team, the best owner to ever walk this earth. He treated his dogs well, and they didn’t have to run more than they could each day. One loud and sudden gunshot changed that all. Now Mr. Brisyen was lying on the snow, his blood melting the snow around him, and the team was harnessed together for a run that would never happen.
The white expanse of the Arctic forms a backdrop for this tragedy. The dogs now have to find a life for themselves, if they can work themselves free from the harnesses that hold them together. Order and chaos fight for control between the team mates, and starvation lurks. Will the dogs find themselves adapting to their new lives, or will they break, unable to change?
While in the North the sled dogs struggle to make a new life for themselves, in the South a different kind of battle rages. The Suden Pack has been taken over by a new alpha, and the members are fighting to conform to the new standards. When these two groups come together, what will happen? Will they stay in their respective lands, or will things come to a fight along the border?
